The coasts of Italy
Sailing on board the Turkish Gulets is the best way to
have a relaxing and comfortable holiday and to discover
the wonderful Italian coast.
The sailing areas are a lot: the Isola d'Elba with its
147 Kilometres of coasts full of beaches, caves and
wonderful coves, surrounded by a fantastic sea. In the
silence of the bay, you can also get in contact with
seagulls and cormorants and, during navigation, you can
also have fantastic meetings with dolphins and
cetaceans.
The cruise starting from the Isola d'Elba can also be
prolonged until the Sardinia island or Corsica.
The Costiera Amalfitana offers the possibility to do
unforgettable cruises melting together the charming
ancient history and the rich nature with stops in
Procida, Capri, Amalfi, Positano and Ischia.
The Aeolian Islands, also called archipelago of the
"seven sisters", offer the possibility to do wonderful
cruises as well as walks and guided excursions;
Lipari, the widest island of the archipelago, full of
contrasts and of colours, offers the visitor suggestive
sights and landscapes of natural beauty;
Salina, which is the second island of the archipelago,
has got high sea overhanging coasts and is verdant
because of its Malvasia vineyards. Its volcanic nature
is attested by the presence of two volcanos, which are
not active any more nowadays;
Vulcano, located half a mile away from Lipari, has
currently got two active volcanos;
Stromboli is located in the Eastern side of the
archipelago, twenty-two Kilometres away from Lipari. The
sea surrounding this island has got depths of more than
1200 metres. The homonymous volcano is still active;
Panarea, located only eight miles away from Lipari is
regarded as the Island of the Vip. Very interesting are
the thermal springs and the "Fumarole";
Filicudi was born in very ancient times and is sixteen
miles away from Lipari. It is inhabited by about 200
islanders;
Alicudi, which is placed at the very Western side of the
archipelago and is separated from Lipari by twenty-six
nautical miles, is lacking in water and light and there
are no roads on this island
Remember that all the cruise routes can be customized.
From Sicily, for example, it is possible to sail to the
Egadi Islands, to Tunisia or Malta, while it is also
possible to reach Sardinia, by means of various
boardings. Obviously all depends on your availability
and on the availability of the boats. Our philosophy is
to let the guests choose which route they prefer to
follow, after listening the Captain’s suggestions. The
crew present on our boats are always very hospitable and
discreet, and will make you feel as you are on your own
boat, respecting above all your privacy.
Information concerning the travel
Foreigners entering Italy
are requested different documents and visas, according
to the country of origin. Before departure it is better
to ask the Italian Consulate of your country for
information to this regard.
For the customers of the "cabin charters" arriving
independently at the boarding it is suggested to phone
the ship-owning company some days before the departure
date of the cruise (they will find the phone number
among the documents in their possession), in order to
have the name of the boat and all the necessary
information to find it at the appointed port.
Once the cabins have been assigned to you and once you
have been introduced to the staff, you are ready to
start this wonderful cruise. On board you will have 220
Volt electriccurrent to your disposal, to recharge your
mobile phones, etc…, and you will find bath towels
(there are no beach towels, shampoo and bath foam). We
suggest you to bring with you: a sweatshirt, sunglasses,
plastic shoes/ sandals, a cap, sun creams, mask and
flippers, soft suitcases that can be folded inside your
cabin.
To go to Italy it is not necessary to do any
vaccination: nevertheless, because of the different
climatic conditions and the change of diet, we suggest
you to request your doctor and to bring with you some
proper medicines to use for possible disorders, in case
of necessity. The local currency is the Euro: anyway
also Dollars are accepted for possible extras (drinks
ate the bar, etc..).
If you are satisfied with the service, it is a polite
custom to leave the crew a tip at the end of the cruise,
normally equal to 20/ 30 Euros per each person. You
should be informed that the programs can always undergo
some changes due to atmospheric conditions.
